The Falkonworks Lock Cylinder Delete fits all Suzuki models from 1999-Current. This guide shows installation on a Gen 2 Hayabusa but the steps will apply to all other Suzuki models as well.

I am not going to cover removal of the bodywork from your motorcycle as this will vary from model to model. You should be able to find instructions or a Youtube video detailing how to do this for your application if you need help.

Refer to this guide after you have removed the section of bodywork that your trunk lock cylinder is housed in.

Now that the bodywork is removed from your motorcycle. Locate the back side of the lock cylinder on the inside of the panel.

Unclip the cable from the backing plate, and rotate to allow it to slide out of the lock cylinder.

Notice there is a notch in the clip that corresponds with the key on the lock cylinder. This will need to be aligned correctly for installation.

Set this clip aside as it will be reused later for installation of your new lock cylinder.

The next step is to remove the backing plate. The plate slides off the original lock cylinder and may be easier to pass the arm of the lock cylinder by rotating it slightly.

You will notice there is a notch cut out for the key on the lock cylinder. This will need to be aligned correctly for re-installation.

Set the backing plate aside as it will also be reused.

The original lock cylinder can now be removed from the bodywork.

Reverse the steps outlined above for installation.

Start by inserting the new Falkonworks lock cylinder delete into the bodywork.

Fit the backing plate in place. Locate the notch in the plate to match up with the key in the lock cylinder delete. Rotating the plate as you fit it into place may help pass the arm.

Fit the retaining clip into place with the lip facing outwards so it can be removed later if necessary.

Re-install the release cable. The end of the cable will fit into the arm through a slot. Rotate the cable around the arm and secure it to the backing plate.

Installation is complete.

Fit your bodywork back to your motorcycle and enjoy.
