The OEM kickstand bracket for the Hayabusa is unnecessarily heavy, and features less than ideal geometry, especially when the bikes are lowered. The goal with this piece was to create a direct fit replacement, that solves both problems.

The Falkonworks kickstand bracket is a lightweight and improved design. It will be machined from 6061 Aluminum, and will feature a bead blasted and black anodized finish. The lower portion has been canted outward, and the forward stop has been clocked forward more than the original bracket. This allows the kickstand to swing further outward and forward, allowing a safer angle for your lowered bike when you park it. It is compatible with OEM and all aftermarket kickstands on the market, however, it should be noted that this product will require the removal on the kickstand switch. My thought process is that, if you are concerned enough about weight that you are considering buying this product, you will surely have already deleted the switch beforehand, so there really is no reason to include any extra material to continue using that part.

The original hardware that came with the Hayabusa is made from steel. It’s very heavy and quite frankly, ugly. Replacement titanium hardware will be included in the package. This new hardware will weigh less and look nicer than the original steel hardware thanks to some cross-drilled lightening holes and a satin finish.

You might be wondering what this piece of hardware is. The hole location this hardware is in, is the mounting location for the lower left side fairing. Some of you may have interest or are already using quick release fittings (like these). The piece pictured above is a titanium quick release stud with a built in nut that does not require any adjustment. It’s a simple thread in design that has the correct offset for this location. The Falkonworks kickstand bracket will reuse whatever hardware you are currently using on your Hayabusa for this location. The QR stud is not included, but will be available separately if you wish to purchase for your application.
